Here is my latest fictional. I just got a new Android powered phone (the EVO 4G for Sprint) so I was inspired to create an Android car. I took in-game shots and fancied them up, felt it was a nice change from the same standard Ten0r's renders.

Base and numbers: Me
Logos: GIS, BOTW

The base doesn't line up on the front fenders. The number looks a teeny tiny bit too big. Other than that pretty nice.

I like the first pic too. What did you do to get those effects?

I like the car for the most part, although I would like to see the side numbers in a different primary color since I'm not sure if the white makes the number blend in a little bit. (Maybe neon-red?) Other than that it looks nice.

Black might look good

I can't find anything wrong besides what dbake24 pointed out. And i think the white numbers look good as it is.

Yeah, the numbers look fine IMO. There's enough green on the base and black outline on the 22 itself that the number stands out just fine. The front fender is the only thing that needs a little work it looks like. Other than that, great job! The logos and everything look really sharp and clean and the numbers look really cool and I like the font of them.

It might just be the lighting in the screen shots but I think the hood logo could use an outline (black maybe?). In some shots it just sort of disappears. That's one of the pitfalls of putting a pale color on white.

Just a thought...how would the car look with a metallic silver base? Might really make all of your work 'pop'! And it would kind of go with the 'Android' name.

The numbers are really cool, even though they might be a tab too large. I also think it would help to angle them to match the side skirt. That angle space below them is creating a bit of a conflict. My only other suggestion (and this is more from a personal standpoint) would be trying a different font for the numbers...maybe along the lines of the 'Android' logotype? But maybe not.

Android!!! One of the first of the Android colors I've seen. other then the fender I think it looks good. possibly a black outline on the "android" on the hood. I think the numbers look fine on the sides.

I'm not sure where on the front the base doesn't match up. I haven't had a chance to load it up in CarViewer but I'll take a look when I can.

As for the effects, it's simply Lens Blur in Photoshop and some tweaks to the Levels. In one of those shots I added some radial blur to the wheels for some added realism. I think all of my future Showroom posts will be in-game and in this style. I like having nearly complete freedom over how the car is shot...and my 3DS Max trial expired. ;)

Neon red over lime green? *barf*

Darker colors would look better.

That's rather subjective. Are you saying there should never be any light colored cars?

I really like the idea of a metallic silver base. I'm picturing something like a brushed aluminum. I'll definitely have to play with that idea. I see what you guys mean about the numbers, I'll probably scale them down about 5% and tweak that bottom angle to match the skirt. As for the font, I've grown fond of this one and it's become my "team" font for numbers, basically because I'm a stickler for consistency.

I'm considering, once I get the scheme perfected, and once the COT plastic models come out, building and painting it. Who knows, maybe I could make one to send to Google and land a job with it. :)

Looks great, TBT. Smooth, very realistic.

Digging the color choice too. :)

Here's an update. I just grabbed a Ten0r's render, will do some in-game shots when I have some more time.

I lined up the base from the fenders to the front once I saw what you guys meant. I also reduced the side number size by about 10 points. I also solved the issue of the hood logo blending in by adding some extra graphics to the top to make the Android pop out, then carried the charcoal color back to the spoiler.

Thoughts?

Love. can't complain. Maybe just make the google a smoke gray instead of the multi color. I always hated the multi color logo.

Yeah, same here. I'll be on the lookout for a monochrome version of the logo.

Just open the layer up in ps and add a color overlay of like dark gray or something. If you want, bevel it and adjust the curve to it looks kinda like chrome. But faintly.

Yeah, I actually found an all-gray version on BOTW. The logo I had originally had a drop shadow on it so an overlay wouldn't have worked. I could have recreated it but...this was easier. When I do my in-game shots later the car will have the one-color Google logo.
