Is that Satined Metal? In 3ds max you have several templates for the rim color. I realized that brushed and satined metal look better than chrome.

What templates in 3ds max? If by chance you mean A&D materials, don't use the default ones. You need to make some. Making them is the best way to get the effect/style you are looking for.

I don't know if they're preset or if they belong to the Sim Racing USA scenes. When I select the rim color in the material editor the very first tab is templates and there I can chose some presets such as chrome or satined metal for example.
