You can download free trial versions of either photoshop or paint shop pro on the web. That would be your best bet, a lot better than the in-game paintshop. Heck, I still use PSP7. :)

You can save the jpgs as bmp in the imports/exports folder and it will show up in the game

I really would suggest getting a program called GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). Best part of all, it's a totally free program that can open/create/edit Photoshop PSD files as well as Paint Shop Pro PSP files. From what I hear, it's a good alternative to the mainstream programs.

I tryed that. I lasted 10 mins the first go at it. I couldn't make a curved line so I got extremely irritated and closed it. :)

I guess I'm going to have to learn though because all the newer templates seem to use it.

There is also GIMPShop which is a modified version of GIMP to make it look more like Photoshop.
