I am not sure where to post this so in the discussion for now sounded right. Is there anybody here at SRD that would be able to make a track if I was able to get some pictures of it? I can give some of the specs right away, its a simple short track.

Track is located in Elko, MN. 3/8 mile Asphalt oval. Will have a layout I found with more details later, computer is being a pain.

i'm some what familiar, There was Bristol Edit version for N4, seen the track on TV (dirt that day)

sounds like a project that can at least be on geometrically, may require some help if new objects are needed.

Here is turns 1&2,

The tow truck is where the cars come on the track and is the only entrance/exit, so there is no actual pitroad. I have a diagram of the track, also had some pictures of the front stretch grandstands, but lost them on my other hard drive. Will find some more though.

Diagram will be a good starting point, i suspect I will have to fake the pit lane due to game limitations (i'm thinking I'll stick it on the outside of the back stretch based on what i know of the track.)

I started this a long time ago and iirc my plan was to use the smaller infield oval as pits.
Having to figure out where to put the pitroad sucks and there are a few tracks I've skipped doing only because they'd need a completely fictional pitroad :p

Slightly off topic but am I correct in assuming that you could not put a pitroad as a slash diagonally across the infield? I'm thinking that there has to be some space in the middle where there is no track mapping and it is only asthetic objects?

That was my other thought. Maybe with no wall or something.

I was trying to find an aerial shot, but couldn't find one. The backstretch is completly empty behind the billboards. The banking is actually going to be less than 20*. But here is the diagram to it, the green is the frontstretch, where the grandstands are. The blue is a possible pit road. Also found a video that shows the track, first 1:30 are all from Elko. Is that diagram to scale? If so i can use it to start building.

It is to scale yes, that is as close as I will get without seeing the actual plans lol.

Lol, had google earth... It sucked on my computer. But yeah I remember that, but all the infield on that diagram is to scale for the track and the grandstands are all red. Will try to get a picture of them or from the backside to give an idea to how tall they are for you.

I think it's great that someone is finally attempting to make a track that has been around a long time and gets no recognition for some of the great racing that comes out of it. Looks like you guy's will be spot on with the replication of it too. Great work!

I helped build a car that went out and ran in the Power Stock class for two years, was able to be a championship car there, just had bad luck and some unfriendly drivers lol. It is a wonderful track to go to, a little expensive to get into the pits, but very fun to go to. Looking forward to getting up to all the races as a crew member next year, ended season this year due to money and engine issues. (n) Local tracks need some exposer, well at least like this, Johnny Sauters brother was up here at this track a few months ago too.

That info is pretty accurate. The cars a little quicker, but thats from rule changes but yes the wall, lighting, banking is very accurate. I am never good with telling how much banking is there lol.
