Hey guys, I've been searching around the forums and google and just can't figure out how to edit a track in WinMip2. All I want to do is repave it (Which I found a tutorial on, but I'm still having problems and I didn't want to bump an old thread.) add my own logos and billboards, and if at all possible, add some banking to the track. If there's anyone with experience that can help me out with this, that'd be much appreciated. Thanks. :)

You cant edit the banking or do anything structural with winmip2. You would need sandbox for that as winmip2 is for .mip textures. You have to look through the .mip files in the track folder and find the right ones for whatever you want to change, then open them with winmip2 and export them into .bmp format. Edit and change whatever you want on the texture and then import it back into the .mip.

10-4 boss. Good luck with it.

One more question, I'm having problems loading track files in Sandbox. Meaning, I can't open an un-finished or finished Sandbox track in sandbox. So, if I wanted to edit it, I couldn't. Do you know anything about that? Like, I want to edit Rockingham, but I can't open the Sandbox file in Sandbox.

OK, I'm sorry again, I'm just going to correct myself.

I want to make an entirely new track out of a default NR2003 track.

Hope that clears some stuff up.

I'm getting a lot learned, but I'm having trouble with the textures. I unpacked the shared folder and all and I selected the texture .mips that I would need, but I cannot select the .mip to work with. What am I doing wrong? All the tutorials aren't telling me.
