avatar issues

trying to add my avatar, but when i go to view something or post something, it dosent show up. anyone know the solution to this problem?

It has to be a certain size and width must be JPEG or GIF or PNG ( not to sure on the GIF though )

make sure its not either the wrong file type, file size too big, or pic size too big.
