Bad News-NTG2011 Delayed, Cover, Videos and PC info

The cover has nothing to do with what the game actually looks like. Take a look at NR2003 box art. None of it is actually what is from the game pretty much (graphically wise)

Also they really do have a good reason to not make it for PC. The pirating issue...but if they actually made a quality game with at least some modding and customization it would sell. I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have/can't afford a PS3 or Xbox 360 (would never think about getting a Wii) so they are losing potential sales right there.

Exactly, for the most part the Covers have very little in-common with the actual graphics/styling of the game.

Looking at all those covers I just realized that my man Terry Labonte was on a lot of those covers!!!!! I think he just might be the most under rated driver of all time so I think that's pretty cool that he got recognized a lot!!! : )

Ah man... I was gonna get this for the PS3 the day it came out. Now gotta wait an extra month; I hope they use the time to make the PS3 version good enough that their won't be any major performance differences between the consoles.

I've had NR2002 & NR2003, but except for Daytona I didn't really race on it all that much. LOL. I just used both to paint my own cars and collect all the cars that other people painted. LOL.

And I never even once played any of the EA console or PC Nascar games that they made either. So I am REALLY looking forward to playing Nascar 2011 The Game.

He's my all-time fav driver too! But I only started watching Nascar in2001. LOL.

Before iRacing came out, they were saying it was something like 60-70% new code, in the court documents, it was more like 30-35% new coding with most the source code still being NR2003. It has changed since then and now it wouldn't be a lie, but when they first made those claims it was. And then when they were going around suing modders claiming they owned the source code, they ended up having to settle out of court with Tim McArthur because at that time they didn't own jack, and he was paid a decent amount of money that he used to start up a online racing service called Race2Play.

I probably got some of the info wrong, but it's pretty damn close to what happened with all that stuff.

Alright, for everyone complaining about the game being pushed back a WHOLE MONTH, big deal. The beloved GT5 got pushed back how long? Plus, it's happening to possibly fix some bugs, which is good. Just ask Fallout New Vegas owners. We got a fun, but very rushed game loaded with bugs and got a patch to fix it a few weeks later. That's probably the case here.

The only modders they sued had modified AND distributed the exes (breaking the EULA on both accounts), and also:

"The Papyrus web site was shut down on April 5, 2004.

On May 28, 2004 Vivendi and Papyrus sold copyrights to FIRST.net, LLC and became the registered owner of the copyrights for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season."

I believe that the copyrights would include source code.

I thought that was because they tried to hold him accountable for the bit-torrenting sites that were distributing the downloads he had taken off his site, thus being in Tim's favor because he has no control over other people and had complied himself and all of the posts that I found referencing the suit mentioned that iRacing's demands were too unreasonable. I can't find the original suit documentation though, only a response from Tim on an old archive. They definitely owned the rights though.
