Just bought me a new AMD quad core processor pc with an ati radeon HD 4200 built in video card and 4 G ram. It was the best I could afford, as my old PC crashed surprisingly. Please tell me I can run the COT mods with ease now. Which one is better? Has more cars, better artist support? Im going to have to reinstall NR2003 on my new PC and rebuild it from the ground up. Also, is there an app to update the walls and signage to Sprint Cup yet? The last patch I used updated to Nextel Cup signage.

I'd say the Sprint Cup mod. BullRing Motorsports

It's the mod SRD (Sim Racing Design AKA This sight) supports.

Compared to the SS.net mod, whats the pros and cons?

I want the best COT mod, most cars available, less issues, most track compatability, and the team that will hopefully update the COT wing to a spoiler. Tell me which one, and where to DL please :)

Also, Im using a DSl wireless modem. Plays PS3 online shooters flawlessly. Do I need to upgrade to cable play NASCAR 2003 online? GRan Turismo 5 was an epic disappointment, Im coming back to the NR2003 community, now with a PC to keep up.

I'll copy and paste what I put in the other thread of yours:
What Brandon said. But it all comes down to your preference. The Bullring COT mod as Brandon mentioned is probably the most painted for and has the best FPS. The Rioux COT mod which is a rival site and not discussed much has alot of detail but not as many people paint for it plus it's a killer on the frames. The DanNisbet COT mod which is still somewhat used.... is also another choice which has a spoiler update to get rid of the wing, not many as really hardly anydo paint for it anymore and it has okay frames. SS.Net which is now closed was working on it so I don't know what happened there. Your best bet is to download tracks from Revamped Reloaded and Safer Barrier Project. Hopefully that helps.

Sounds like I want the bullring mod, more painters, and my new PC is good, not great, so I dont want to push the issue on FPS. Thanks for the help. Will Bullring get a new spoiler mod? How long before a new 2011 carset gets going for that? or will the bullring mod still be stuck on wing for 2011?

The Bullring is an updated version of the ss.net mod. And the Bullring mod is a spoiler mod.

When you download the Bullring mod it should come with the spoiler already on. More than likely Bullring will update their COT mod when the new noses are officially released. The 2011 carsets? More than likely will be made shortly after Daytona. Although some people at NNRacing have made a few 2011 cars such as this guy

EXCELLENT. So I can just DL some 2010 schemes to keep me happy until the 2011 stuff starts pouring in huh?

At least with a clean slate, I dont have to be cluttered with out of date schemes and cars.

has anyone created NR2003 drivers for the new G25 or G27 logitech wheels to get force feedback on them? I currently own a Driving Force Pro, that works great, but no FF. If the new wheels can give feedback, I'll pick that one.

There are three teams that have both wing and spoiler versions already:
-DesModsRacing/RiouxMods Cup10
-Bullring/SS.NET SprintCup
-Dan Nesbit COT (I think)

I recommend trying all three, but the better ones are the first two. It's a matter of taste and what you prefer on a car model.

Bullring
More copies of cars out there (what I mean is there are like 50 versions of each car because of all the sites)
Between here and Elite Paint Design you can easily get all the 2010 cars.
More "Non-NASCAR" templates
In my opinion the body shape isn't exactly right (looks IDK, just doesn't look right, more like a Sportsman style body then it should be)
Spoiler braces/welding are shaded not modeled
No modeled engine, no paintable underhood, and several other little things like that (which in turn leads to the less details but better preforming on slower PCs)
Little less detailed so it runs better on crappier PCs
More "Community Artist" because the templates are close to the SS.net ones, some people say they are easier then the Rioux ones, personally I don't think so)
Tons of premade bases & kit cars because it was rather easy to adapt the SS.net stuff to the Bullring templates.
In-House online league

Rioux
Less copies of cars, but more then enough to make 2010 carsets.
Less "Non-NASCAR" templates
In my opinion the body shape looks closer to the real thing (the tail offset is more correct looking, and the nose looks the proper width/slope)
Spoiler braces/welds are modeled, you can paint under the hood, engine is modeled, and several other little things like that
More detail means that you need a decent PC to run it to it's full extent, can be run on a slightly slower computer you just gotta turn the graphics down.
Less "Community Artist" because people think the templates are harder (personaly I think they are easier), Still a ton of fictional cars out there.
Less premade bases & kit cars (at least that I have seen)
In-House online league

Personally I use the Rioux one most of the time, like when I hop on and just wanna run a few laps or short race (I don't race online), but I have both downloaded & paint my team cars for both.

Honestly what you need to do is download them both and decide which one you like better, or just do like myself and many others do and keep, use, & support both.

I don't use either COT mod because my computer isn't good enough to handle either.

I race mostly the Project Wildfire mods.
