Bobby in the 10 at Charlotte

Stavola Labonte Racing taps another Labonte to drive: Preparing for their second of three scheduled NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events in 2010, Stavola Labonte Racing heads to the Charlotte Motor Speedway this Saturday night for the Bank of America 500. Chief Operating Officer and co-owner Terry Labonte announced that his younger brother, and two-time Charlotte Motor Speedway winner, Bobby Labonte will pilot the #10 Gander Mountain Chevy for this race only. Terry will be back behind the wheel for the last race of the season in Texas as he prepares for 2011. Once again, the car will be powered by Earnhardt-Childress Racing Engines and sponsored by Gander Mountain with associate sponsorship from American Cement. The team has been busy as they continue to make plans for Terry to race in 2011 under the Stavola Labonte Racing banner. Comments from COO and Team Co-Owner Terry Labonte Heading into Charlotte: "Everyone is really looking forward to Charlotte. With Bobby being a past champion, we can concentrate on the race, and that's important for a new team like ours. Bobby has proven he can do well at Charlotte. I'll be back in the car at Texas. Billy, and everyone with this team, is still working hard putting all the pieces together for next season. Obviously we're concentrating on this weekend and getting the best results for Gander Mountain. It was great to be back at Richmond, and that has everyone motivated. Very interesting to see young brother Bobby drive for older brother Terry at Charlotte. Bobby is a consistent qualifier and I think he'll get them in the show.

Not to mention his brother is the one filling in.

Anyway, I'm excited for this. I'm pretty sure Bobby was starting to get p'oed with Phoenix like he was with TRG. They've started to S&P, which also annoys me. Charlotte is Bobby's best track imo, I'm hoping for a top 25 run.

i don't hate the fact that bobby is driving it man. I hate the fact that Terry isn't gonna be in it like originally planned. Terry doesn't race much anymore and him not being in it disappoints me. I don't care about the car i care about him being in it lol. Of course when it makes the race I'll be rooting for it! Just wish Terry was in it lol. Good opportunity for Bobby tho!

I think that both Bobby and Terry agreed this would be better, although I'd definitely kill to see Bobby and Terry running 1-2 together lol. Maybe if Terry hooks up a ride for Dega. That's the only possible place it could happen these days.

hahah very true and i would love to see that! But Terry winning of course. I don't know if your remember but they were running 1-2 at tally in 98 i believe it was and bobby passed terry with about 5 to go and won. Terry finished 5th i believe
