C&J Energy Services Entering NASCAR with Phoenix Racing: Securing three fully funded races for the end of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Phoenix Racing and Bobby Labonte announced that C&J Energy Services Inc. will sponsor the #09 Phoenix Racing Chevy. C&J Energy will be the primary sponsor for races at Martinsville on Oct 24, Phoenix on Nov 14 and the season finale at Homestead on Nov 21. The company will serve as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the season. Headquartered in Labonte's hometown, Corpus Christi, Texas, C&J Energy Services is a provider of coil tubing, pressure pumping services, and recently fracturing services, to the oil and gas industry in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. It will be the first time the company has partnered with a NASCAR team and driver. Phoenix Racing and Bobby Labonte will have more sponsor announcements soon as they continue to fill out the rest of their Sprint Cup season. Phoenix Racing will continue to enter a car for Labonte in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series [Labonte has one race left in the #71 Chevy at Texas] and for Ryan Newman in the Nationwide Series through the remainder of the 2010 season.(Breaking Limits)(9-28-2010)

They secured three races of sponsorship, and they might be annoucning more soon! Good news for Bobby Labonte fans everywhere, or people who just want to see Bobby do good (like me!)

Hopefully, but not very likely, Bobby can get a top 10 before the season is out so he can continue his streak of at least 1 top 10 finish since he's been in Cup.

I bet Talladega would be his best bet for that top 10, all things considered. It's not like the 09 car hasn't won there before!

So by "Secured 3 races" does that mean they already got the check to clear or that the company 'promises' to pay?

Good for Bobby. But to be honest he just needs to get himself a good ride.

I've always thought that Tony Stewart should put Bobby in a 3rd SHR car, since they use to be teammates.

Woot! Hopefully they have better luck. Martinsville and 'Dega are his best chances, although I must say, in the last couple races they have looked improved (not including NHMS).

Good for Bobby. Maybe he can get some momentum to go into next year with.

Looking at Bobby Labonte makes me miss the NASCAR I first saw. The late 90's. I think he won the first race I saw.

So...yay!

It's most likely a signed contract, which is really the latter, only enforceable by law if the sponsor doesn't pay according to the terms of the contract.
