Anybody have a good quality version of Darrell Waltrip`s "BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY, LETS GO RACING BOYS!!!" sound file for when the green flag drops in NR2003?

There is one in the the alternate files section of this page: DWarehouse -NASCAR Racing 2003-

I could have sworn though I tried using it a few years back and it never worked but if it doesn't I can always make a new one now that I know all the file formats and specs needed for NR2003's audio in the game.

That just destroys the realism for me. See, the drivers don't hear that. FOX isn't piped through the team radio lol. So I prefer more of a crew chief yelling "GREEN FLAG GREEN FLAG" or whatever. Same with GSYE, with earplugs in you probably can't hear the command from inside the car, instead the cc tells you "Ok bud, lets start it up" or something like that.

I'm making a 24 Alan Gustafson/Eddie D'Hondt spcc pack using audio from 2012/2013. Don't expect it tomorrow or anything lol, but it'll have JUST spotter and crew chief on the radio (and one actual pre-race sound byte from Rick Hendrick from 2012 Homestead). No DW, no GSYE, and especially no driver audio. When (/if) it's done, I'll probably post it in my Showroom thread, so keep an eye out

It all comes down to personal preference. Having a DW boogity file out there won't affect your enjoyment of NR2003 neither does it mean you have to use the file. Some people enjoy racing differently so I don't see an issue with someone wanting a different sound file. This is the same complaint of people who like to race in close or far chase as opposed to roof or cockpit. Doesn't matter if its realistic or not, everyone has a right to race the way they want, it will never affect your NR2003.

Sorry if that came across as stern but I am a firm believer in giving players the options and allowing their personal preference to not be trampled on if one player plays different than another

I'm not trying to force anybody to play "my" NR2003, I was just giving my opinion. That's why I'm glad we each have separate installs, settings, and mods lol. No criticism of the OP was intended. Sorry MRI_29 if I came across that way...

Youre ok Doyle9. Everybody has a different opinion. I got the Carl Edwards sound pack with MNES newest sound pack too, so everything is pretty realistic. As a driver, hearing DW at the green flag may not be realistic, but as a fan, I love hearing his famous saying before the green, it always gives me a lil more enthusiastic for the race. And thank you Mystical for the link.

Thanks! I actually watched abunch of youtube vidz with all the driver`s packs, and I liked the Carl Edwards one the best. Plus I like Bob Osbourne too. I think he`s a great crew chief, even though Im a Harvick fan. LOL!

That reminds me, is there any packs with Rodney Childers as the crew chief? I don't think there is but I figured Id go ahead and ask since he`s gonna be Harvs crew chief next year.

I love Bob Osbourne, I used all the scanner audio from the 2010 season to make it. I really want to make a newer better version but its so time consuming. I do have a pack I have been playing around with but not sure where its going.
