BR2011 Gauges Help?

I have been away from the community for almost a year now thanks to a military induced yearlong vacation to Afghanistan. Fortunately for me I was able to get the BR2010 mod downloaded over there. Now I'm home and are in the process of painting a new car for the 2011 mod.

My issue is...... I drive from the 3rd person/roof cam view all the time. Now the cockpit in the mod is very nice but the gauges stink. The 2010 mod had nice Auto Meter gauges included in it. How can I get them or any of the custom old NR2K3 gauges into the BR2011 mod?

Do you already have the patch for br11? Thats changes the gauges though nowhere near as awesome as the NWS version.

And no you can't take gauges/dashes from other mods the layouts are different.

Wow... that is disappointing.

I am an experienced modder for other games. Which file handles the gauges? I would love to find them so I can pull the gauges out of the BR2010 mod and stick them in the 2011 mod.

Well, if you want to try anyways the relevent files are packed in the dat file for each mod. Grab winmip2 from RACELINE CENTRAL: All NASCAR RACING 2003 Season Racing Game Mod Program Tools and unpack the dat for each mod. There should be one texture file for each car make. Again this isn't a good idea since no matter how much you chop it up to fit it just wont look right but good luck to you.
