Lovin this new model... Paints seem to flow nicely on the template. Just taking a little to get used to a few of the "mischevious" areas that we already had discovered on the other style temps.

Time to bulk up to a 2048 temp! Woot Woot!

where did you get the contingencies?

The templates include 3 different contig configuration layers already placed. If you need something different, its very easy to chop up one of those layers for what you need.

the temps in NR2003 show a pink car with nothing on it except the head and tail lights the ethanol decal and the goodyear logo.

the new templates are quite complicated, I honestly did not like anything, however, the mod is very good!

Ah hell guys... It was a pain to paint on new templates when we went from N1 (512x256) to N2 (512x512) back in the day. As with anything new, there is a learning curve to be expected and a matter of getting used to the template structure. Yes, the bad thing is that none of my old schemes convert over too easily, but hey... In order to have a realistic and up to date model, I can live with it. I painted them once, I am sure I can do it again.

One problem I do have with the new templates is the extreme angle of the headlights area. Also, with the way that area and the fenders are broken causes an issue with the fender to nose bridging of things such as the contigs. That goodyear and moog sticker just look squashed as hell to me.

Top-notch work as always, Joey. You're the zen master of Earnhardt cars. :)

Thanks guys. Just playin around with these right now. The base is all new, but all the decals and numbers were pulled off of my original NR2K3 layered file and sized in place on this new one... So I know they arent as clean as they should be. But just looking for the warp areas right now.

So far the only areas of concern are around the green house/roof seam areas. But I am sure we can get around them. These are fun to mess with though.

Yeah, I hope you guys put out a nice 2048 size, all the 1024's look blurry in-game, which is why all the cars I paint for myself have to be 2048. Guess I'm going to just double the size on the template as of right now and hope it doesn't look too bad in-game. :S

Well I doubled the image size of one of my new cars and tried it out/tried the new '11 mod for the first time, worked pretty well. Very pleased with the new look, matches good with the real thing. I do have a annoying problem though, maybe it's for everyone idk, but I almost always race with the close chase camera, and the gauges are pretty blurry for me. The cockpit ones are fine, all nice and clear. The doubled size isn't too bad, a hell of a lot clearer then 1024 res, and thanks to whoever suggested the Smart Sharpen filter in another thread, probably helped out a great deal.
