I think I forgot to mention this in some of the other Bristol threads.If you are doing double file restarts,they will cause a lot of trouble.Single file restarts are much more apt to go green longer.

Could also try just a couple of clicks up on track grip,along with some of the other things I posted in another thread.These things helped me.

This is the the line that you have to change

ai_wall_offset = 22 ; 100 = full-time AI collision detection

That is the set that I use for most short tracks

Which Bristol version are you using? I know with a version I was using in the middle of the turns the racing line would swerve up the track and back down again causing a lot wrecks.

Thought so that's the problem I had with that version. If you run behind cars on the start watch them in the middle of the corner. The lower cars will fly up the track into the cars on the high line causing them to wreck. I tried adjusting the track ini but didn't change it so I went to the revamped version for now.

Have you both make the changes in the track ini file

I just finished an offline race on the same track.

12 yellow flag laps in 500 laps

which bristol version?

and all you did was set wall offset to 22? Sounds promising, ive never had good offline races there

If I remember,at SBP's Bristol's,this is a little low:ai_inverse_slipcurve_k = 0.28.
It causes the ai to slide sideways in the corners.Try 0.50-0.70 and see if that might help.

Having the ai_offset lower will allow more contact between ai cars without causing a wreck every time.Just be careful not to go too low as then you can get some melding issues that will also cause crashes.Probably 0.20 at the very lowest.

safer barrier version

And just the tire wear

This way all the are not in a large group, the Ai need a group of cars to bring the yellow

mind sharing your tire wear settings?

Snoopy has no problem sharing any thing

ai_tire_wear_left = 1.45 ; left tire wear adjuster for ai > 1.0 = more wear
ai_tire_wear_right = 1.55 ; right tire wear adjuster for ai

GLW

Snoop I had tried what jrock from the forums there said to do and still had issues. When I'm back in town Tuesday I'll give your recommendations a try. Thanks.

That's actually more unrealistic than a crash happening every 10 laps.

The proper balance of yellow flag laps should be roughly 20% of the race's distance.
