Blender BullRing 2015 Render Scene

*** Original car models and textures by BullRing Motorsports. ***

Thanks to Danny Coral and BullRing Motorsports for putting together a great 2015 Gen 6 mod and granting permission to convert this render scene to Blender.

To render this scene, you will need the textures from the BullRing Motorsports 2015 Generation 6 Mod "Generation-6 3dMax Scenes (Brazil+Scanline)" file ("15Gen6_Render.zip") from the link below.

http://bigdonlinemotorsports.com/Sprintcupseries.html

Put all the .bmp image files from each folder (chevy, ford, dodge, toyota) together into the same folder as the .blend file.

To move cars around the scene select the "Empty-parent-BR15-all-cars-tires" object. The second car is "All-Cars-BR15-instance-copy". To switch cars: hide and disable rendering for all items in the current car group, then unhide and enable rendering for the next car you want to see. Be sure to keep a few objects hidden and render disabled: "chevy_L1_Legs-hide", "objDRIVERBODY-hide" and the 8 tire and rim objects.

HDTIRES are enabled by default. To render the original tires and rims, hide and disable rendering for all objects in the HDTIRES group ("W_tire3-NEW-LF", etc.). Then unhide the 4 rims and 4 tires for your car ("W_L1_left_rim01", "W_L1_left_tire01", etc.).

UPDATE: BR15-Blender-62.zip is the new scene. Small updates to the windows, smoothing and a few other tweaks. All attached images have been updated to show the new settings.

How do I edit in Blender to get my scene just a one-car?

Try this......

1.JPG

Deselect the viewport selection, viewport visibility, and rendering tabs under instance-copy (should be on all 2 car scenes) and you should be good to go. Sorry to @martsol if I answered out of place.

As kb18fan said, click the eye and camera buttons next to "All-Cars-BR15-instance-copy" in the Outliner window to hide the second car.

Then you can select the camera and reposition it like any other object to frame the view on the one remaining car. You can also change the camera Lens: Focal Length setting to change the virtual lens from a wider view to a longer zoom view. Play with that and you will notice the shape of the car changes a bit. If it makes more sense, you can change the Focal Length units from Millimeters to Field of View which will let you set an exact angle of view.

Blender Camera Settings
Blender: Understanding the Camera: Specifying the Field of View

Here's an example of the Focal Length going from 120 down to 35 as the camera also moves closer.
