I have the Car Viewer program, but the only mod I can view is the original Cup mod. Where's the best place to get (I think they're called) "plug ins" for all the other mods? Is there a 1 stop shop sort of place available? Also, once I get the plug ins, where do I install them and how do I switch back and forth between viewing the different mods?

Here is a link to Insominiacs Racing. Most of the Mods car viewers are included. For the newer Mods, BR2011.....etc. you will have to download them from thier respective sites.

Any time.
When you open up the car viewer go toFile/open direct x mesh. Brose to the car viewer mod file you want and select it. In your painting program do a save a copy as of the car you are working on and save it as bmp, png or jpg replacing the card file or on some the cars model file. You will have to check to see what format it was made in. In car viewer select file/open texture and you should have it. Do this each time you want too look at your progress. I'm sure if you have any questions people on this forum will answer them for you.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I've been on vacation and went out of town.

But anyway, I downloaded the stuff from the link but I'm having problems importing my paints onto a different mod in the viewer. I opened the car viewer program, went to open direct x mesh, selected the GTP mod, then Jaguar body. I then tried to import my paint scheme (saved as a .JPEG) but it turns the mod body solid white.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed from here?

It may require a specific name. There are some mods where you can name the texture whatever you want and others where you have to name it something specific to get it to show in the carviewer. In the case of it needing to be a specific name, look in the folder of the x file(body) you are using and see if there are any files other than the body. Also some files require the texture to be a bitmap instead of a JPEG so you may want to look for a texture file saved under the .bmp extension and not just JPEG files. If there is a texture already in the folder with the x files replace the existing texture with the one you want to see by naming it the same thing as the preexisting texture. You can back up the old texture if you think you may need it again. That's really up to you. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks! After some trial and error I finally managed to import my images on there. It's kind of a pain to rename stuff all the time, but at least it works.

While I'm at it, where's the best place to get the Cup 90's plugin as well as some of the newer mod plugins?

Some are at bull ring and the otheres at the sites that made the mods. Look through the list of Mods at N2K3 then go to the sites. I'd like to be more specfic but some of the sites can't be mentioned in this Forum. Good luck. here is the link to N2K3
