Carl Edwards Hosting WWE Monday Night Raw, Feb. 8th

It has been announced by WWE.com that NASCAR star Carl Edwards will be the guest host of the February 8th edition of Monday Night RAW, which will emanate from the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Raw races its way into the Cajundome in Lafayette, La., on Feb. 8 with one of WWE’s biggest fan/athletes, Carl Edwards. The Roush Fenway Racing driver will rev up Raw as a special guest host just six days before the NASCAR Sprint Cup season begins with the sport’s most-highly anticipated race, the Daytona 500.

It’s also no secret Edwards and John Cena are close buddies. Their friendship first blossomed in 2007 when the racecar driver taught Cena how to drive a NASCAR stock car on the reality show, Fast Cars and Superstars – The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race. Less than one year later, Cena starred in a Gillette Young Guns commercial with Edwards and several other NASCAR drivers. And Edwards has also mentioned Cena by name while celebrating in Victory Lane.

Now Carl is one guy I know will make it interesting. He loves to have fun and I wouldn't put it past him to try and get in the ring. Now with the Daytona 500 the next week I doubt he'll wrestle but still, should be a good show.

The match isn't literally choreographed. The two together are given a finish and the time it should end, any special moves to use in the match, etc.

As a big wresting fan I have to say I'm not looking forward to this.... NASCAR and wrestling don't mix well without it looking extremely corny... Just look at Joey and Kyle's appearance on Raw. They made the late Umaga look like he had incredible mic skills!

I don't really watch the JimBot Cup Series anymore. I focus on my own series, and they don't drive in circles, They drive in Ovals, and Road Courses

I don't really watch the JimBot Cup Series anymore. I focus on my own series, and they don't drive in circles, They drive in Ovals, and Road Courses

Unless you are doing "Point A to Point B" rally/drag style racing you are racing in a loop, and it doesn't matter what physical shape a loop is, it is nothing more then a modified circle.

How bout we all get back on topic. Wrestling matches. yes they are predetermined. not fake, they still get hurt and get thrown around. Carl edwards is a better mike person then edwards and busch. he will proly wrestle to considering his body type.
