CAMARO. Did anyone else read into this besides me?
sadly no. GM has all ready said they have no plans to bring the CAMARO in to NASCAR.
how ever i have read in vairus other places that gm plans to promote the hell out of the volt..
so my guess(and proubly worng at that) is the volt.
Watch Out Dodge,Toyota,And Ford The Volt Is Coming To NASCAR...

If it is the Volt, I hope Hendrick's batteries malfunction a lot.

VOLT? Over the Camaro? No no no! I drive a 2011 Camaro, and I made it very clear to both my sales rep and also the rep at the Daytona race that I think that the Camaro should be in NASCAR, and that most American race fans would agree with me. When I was at Daytona, many people agreed wtih me when we were talking to the rep. It's such a shame...it would seriously boost sales for the Camaro!
I'd say dodge and ford will be the only manufacturers to keep up the muscle/pony car tradition.
As far as I heard, Chevy wouldn't do the Camaro yet due to it not fitting within their guidelines/templates. With a 2013 redesign of the whole body/chassis, they can make a Camaro body the way they want it I'm sure. Maybe it will be considered for the 2013 new car.

I would love for NASCAR to get back to the true meaning of "stock" car and have their cars really represent the best they have to offer. To me, Chevy running an Impala when the current model is so outdated (a now 5 year old design) and nowhere near the best they have to offer. Cruze or Malibu would be a logical choice if Camaro isn't an option.
Just a sidenote here, but if you bought that yourself at 18 I'll be extremely impressed.
The problem with talking to your sales rep is that you're already interested in the Camaro. The principle behind win on Sunday sell on Monday is that you're going to purchase the vehicle strictly because it won on Sunday. That means you're appealing to the non-initiated of the brand who wouldn't take a look at that car for one reason or another.
Example: I love DODGE!!!! Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger. I'd never look at Chevy or Ford because I'm Dodge all the way....Wait a minute...did he....Jimmie Johnson just won his 8th straight championship in a 2013 Camaro....man that thing must be fast....must have.....GIVE GIVE GIVE.
The main idea here is sell to those who don't already know the brand that well. That's why the Impala is such a good choice at this time. The Impala has gotten a lot of sales because of NASCAR and that's where Chevy needed the sales. The Camaro has a long following that needs no introduction to the masses. Why waste advertising dollars for a couple hundred more camaros when you can sell a couple thousand impalas with the same dollars.

Well it's time for you to be impressed! It's only a V6, because i didn't want to pay for V8 insurance! I split the cost with my parents. I saved up a LOT of money to get it. And I'm glad I waited for it!![]()

Believe it or not, the '77 Celica was a pretty hot looking car. I'll have to see if I can find a pic of one again to post.
EDIT: Image Hosting here doesn't work with my iPhone, so here's a link to the pic instead:
