Anyone know where i can get chrome rims for 3ds max. i like the 1's use for the 2009 nationwide carset renders. If i could something like that, it would be sweet

Chrome Material:

1) Set Material Type to Standard
2) Set Diffuse Color to a Dark Grey
3) Set Reflection Map to Raytrace (85-100%)
4) Under Raytrace Parameters -> Background, choose the blank box and set to a bitmap and use a chrome jpg/bmp map like Chromic.jpg
5) Drag material to rims of your choice.

You might have to play with the material or rims a bit to get a desired effect, however that's how I put together my rims for the renders. Instead of a chrome jpg, you can use an hdr file with an actual image as the reflection. See attached for a reference of my chrome with Chromic.jpg.

EDIT: PSP117 has a decent chrome flat you can use to get a pretty good effect http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g264/tclcloud/crome.jpg
