Dave Blaney at Talladega is not suprising. From watching practice their seems to be less grip. Now i'm not saying I like the 2 car draft but I find it interesting to watch. I did love the Daytona 500. I think when they go to the new car in 2013 the will make a aero package that will prevent them from hooking up the way they do............................oh and I hope the 24 or 88 wins.

Yeah because its the same drivers passing each other for the lead the whole race and its never anybody new or surprising.

Er what?
Bayne, Smith, Nemechek, Blaney, Menard, Gilliland, Allmendinger, Ragan, Robby Gordon, Terry and Bobby Labonte, Mears, and Ambrose, have all lead or been near the front in the plate races this year...Who needs to be up front for you to be surprised?

Brian K also was in the front during the Duel race.

Well, apparently in person its much more exciting for the fans.

IMO its not better, its not exactly worse either. Its just...different.

It IS different, but in a sense, it offers up some strategizing as opposed to a lot of luck to make it through to the end and maybe have a good run towards the front at the right time. I like it because it's something new that the drivers haven't even figured out yet. Not entirely, anyway.

Coming from someone who went to the Bud Shootout and saw the 2 car tandem taking over the race for the first time, it was about 50/50. 50% of the two car stuff was awesome, when about 3 or 4 packs were right up against eachother, and then there were times where it got REALLY boring. The lead changes and passing is awesome for sure though.

Daytona 500 in person got really boring about mid-way, but that might have been just because the cautions dragged out the race. The shootout felt like it was a 30 minute sprint.

I won't lie, I think I'm starting to come around to it as well, but I'm still a little iffy about it happening in the middle of the race. I actually do like the finishes the two-car tango is producing, despite previous statements, but it's really unnecessary in the middle of the race to work the motors that hard with all the heating and cooling cycles... it's almost like Michigan or California, which are historically hard on motors. But I dunno, I'm not a motor builder nor do I claim to be.

Oh lord, let the butthurting begin because of the two car tango. Granted I liked the pack racing, but the two car tango has it's own excitement too, i.e. Daytona 500 and Aaron's 499.

I really dislike the two car tango. I prefer the wild pack racing.

The finishes are good but the rest of the race sucks and even with the big pack racing it wasn't like you were getting bad finishes ether.

I don't really have a preference for either, but I will say this.

In 2010, NASCAR said "Boys have at it" and they found the fastest way to go around the superspeedways. Let them race.

It may just be me but I have a feeling this race is going to be awesome and people will complain. Of course, regardless of the outcome, the latter is always a given.

It's a love-hate thing.

I love the close finishes and the high amount of lead changes, but I hate how the quality of racing seems to dissipate throughout the middle of the race.

Not looking forward to it, sadly.

I'm not opposed to it, it shows that some guys can run out front and lead. And it gives the start and parkers a reason to race...
