I didn't like the team orders thing I heard Hendrick was pulling. but then again that didn't work out XD. But on that note the only thing I hate about this 2 car thing is someone has to settle for second or to be the pusher instead going for the win. I heard it last night between Paul and Kevin, Paul was asked what he wanted and he chose to be the pusher.

The thing about this, is this i just how they hoped things would turn out. Mark wanted the win but they didn't have a chance to switch and wouldn't as Jeff led the charge through the pack. also there are always wrecks and cautions to separate them. But i agree with you, i would have hated to see Jeff settle for second.

It's safe to say that I was royally pissed off when they said that Jeff Was going to push Mark to the end. But that obviously didn't pan out. I'm just glad Jeff got a top-10 finish after he half-way spun out.

Honestly, that race was s***. Plain and simple.

Congratulations to Ragan though.

You're not the only one who thinks that:

Jr. has some points in his rant, like not really being able to make a move, at least if you're the pusher. Guaranteed he wouldn't be nearly as mad if ended up in victory lane and I don't remember him being too upset after pushing Jimmie to the win in 'Dega.

And I'll just say this, if some of these guys are so damn unhappy with how racing is going, plate races or not, get the heck out of the car and I'll take the wheel. I know the drivers are supposed to have a voice, but what is NASCAR supposed to do about it? It was totally unexpected back in February and it's still being experimented with.

This is completely true. Nascar didn't tell the drivers they had to do the two car draft, the drivers and engineers discovered it was the fastest way to get around.

Jr's just angry because it changed the only type of racing he could consistently win at.

Interesting.

Last time I checked, Richmond (3), Phoenix (2), Bristol, Atlanta, Chicagoland, Michigan, Dover, and Texas wernt plate tracks.

He's angry because he had a top 10 run going and got taken out right before the start finish line. Find me a driver that wouldnt be angry about that, and if you can, he doesnt belong in a Cup car.

As for this kind of racing, he's made his opinion known since the beginning. He doesnt like it and hes not going to, win or wreck. Even after pushing Johnson to the win he still got out of the car and talked about how stupid he thinks it is. He's not alone because alot of drivers happen to share his opinion.

He makes a completely valid point in that you cant make any moves. You mash the gas and push or get pushed and thats all you can do. With the other style of plate racing, you controled your own race alot more so than now and you had to make decisions, and lots of them, and within fractions of a second. You could work the draft how you wanted to, you could set guys up and pull out on them, and you didnt have to rely on someone else to even be part of the race. All in all you could run your own race.

Bottom line, theres always going to be people who like this style of racing and people who dont. It doesnt mean anybody is more right or wrong than anybody else.

If there is a rule that you cannot push another car to the finish line on the last lap, then the two-car tango kind of violates that rule.

I said kind of because I'm sure NASCAR will say that the rule only applies to mechanical issues and anything of the like.

that rule only goes if the car being pushed isnt moving on its own power. Under 2 car tango both cars can move without each other.:p
