Robby Gordon, Conway have altercation in garage: #7-Robby Gordon has been placed on immediate probation for an unspecified period after a post-qualifying incident in the Sprint Cup Series garage Friday evening at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. NASCAR wouldn't specifically say what Gordon did, but described its probation move as an "emergency action." "His actions were brought to our attention early last evening," NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said. "We met this morning and reviewed the situation, and have reacted accordingly. We will continue to look at this situation involving Robby Gordon." NASCAR vice president of competition Robin Pemberton described the incident as a "heated discussion" but wouldn't confirm it was a physical confrontation because he didn't personally witness it, nor did any NASCAR officials. "You'll have to find somebody that actually saw it," Pemberton said. The incident was brought to NASCAR's attention by Conway, Pemberton said. Conway will not be penalized. Gordon and Conway didn't immediately respond to requests for comment. The two have had recent battles in the legal system over money. (SB Nation)(3-5-2011)
UPDATE: Neither Gordon nor Conway would talk about the incident, but Conway said he had filed a police report about the incident giving the indication that it was physical and said all comment would come from the police or NASCAR. Gordon said he couldn't comment because of the legal issues that already had existed between the two. Conway drove for Gordon in six races last year and they are involved in lawsuits with each other Gordon has sued Conway sponsor Extenze in California while Conway has sued Gordon in North Carolina. Gordon said Saturday that Conway is asking for $27,000 in money from winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie award from last year. Gordon said Saturday that he would pay Conway once he gets the $690,000 from Extenze.(Scene Daily)(3-5-2011)

I think Bob Jenkins (the owner of Front Row Motorsports), Robby Gordon, Joe Nemechek, and Kyle Busch should file a police report on Kevin Conway stealing their money.

Lol, Robby probably cracked him, then Conway cried to NASCAR and the police....

More than likely, and Conway deserved it.

I like Paul having his ride partly because his daddy ACTUALLY PAYS the teams Paul drives for...

Kyle Busch? How did it hurt Kyle?
He was allegedly supposed to have Conway drive some truck races for him. As much as I dislike Kyle Busch, I don't want hime to be a victim of Kevin Conway/Extenze. Kevin Conway is now my least favorite driver because he is nothing more then a white collar crook.

The nerve to ask Robby for $27,000!

and why does Robby have to pay the roty cheque??? he ran the vast majority of his races for FRM.

I'd rather spend $27,000 on legal fees than give Conway his "money"

What was Conway doing in the Cup Garage? And better yet what was he doing in the Robbys stall?

I'm starting to actually believe that he is a crook!

Most likely something in the contract.

Ah, Robby. I knew nothing good would come of associating with sleaze like Conway and Extenze. Both are scummy in the worst way. And while Conway undoubtedly deserved whatever he got and then some, Robby should've been mature enough to let it go, since there are lawsuits pending.

And Conway is a little wimp for running to the cops and NASCAR about it. Even Shrub doesn't do that.

Was it in Robby's stall?

According to what I heard it was. Although still even if it was somewhere else in the Cup garage what as an NNS driver doing in the Cup garage?

Also the whole RGM has to pay $27,000 ROTY thing is really really messed up. Shouldn't that be Raybestos or NASCAR? Unless Raybestos or NASCAR paid RGM then RGM would pay Conway (I'm thinking it may be that second way for tax reasons? Easier to swap money from business to business then business to person?)

But Still ExtenZe paid the marketing company that Conway owns, that money was to be taken from the Marketing company and used for Sponsorship.

Conway owes Robby $690,000
Robby owes Conway $27,000
========================
So why doesn't Conway & his marketing company just pay $663,000 and they all call it good.

Did ExtenZe really pay? Why wouldn't Robby just sue Conway if ExtenZe paid Conway?

I had to laugh when I read this. I'm not surprised at all by this, and I hope Robby comes out on top when all's said and done.

Robby is probably suing Extenze because he knows if they really did pay Conway, they will join Robby in court and it will help Robby get his money. If Robby just sued Conway, then there really is no proof that Extenze paid Conway.

A real Nascar driver wouldn't run to the cops over some punches. Kevin Conway is not a real Nascar driver.

Actually going to the Cops in a situation like this is the exact right thing Conway should do. I mean think about it, Conway is suing Robby for not paying him so when Robby throws a punch you go to the cops to get an official police report on it and then in court you can say "Look at how mentally unstable this person is, I try to talk to him about a debt he owes me and instead of being a man and paying his debts he comes out swinging like a crazy person".

Now at the same time though Robby should have also made it clear when he gave the police his statement that "Conway, his marketing company & his sponsor owe RGM close to 1 million dollars and Kevin was not racing in the Cup series this weekend so he did not have any need to be in the Cup garage especially that late in the day" and that "Kevin fully intended to start a fight when he came over into this garage to confront me instead of letting our legal representatives work it out".

Conway going to the Police isn't gonna hurt Robbys case, but it sure as heck might help his case. And while RGM does deserve to get paid the money they're owed, Conway also deserves to get paid the money he is owed.

Conway is a freakin' crybaby. A disgrace to NASCAR period.

He screwed over FRM, and then screwed over Robby Gordon. And now he finally got what he deserved for it. An ass whoopin'. I won't be shocked if he screws over Joe Nemechek too. He's a big whiney punk. WAAHHHH IMA PROTESTTTTTTT I DIDNT MAKE THE 500 AHHHHH. OHHH ROBBY HIT MEEEEE OFFICERRRRR.

Honestly, Robby is an idiot for hiring Conway in the first place.

That being said, Conway's a [female dog].
