It's nice to see an update to the old GTP 'Vettes.

It reminds me a ton of the LMP1 Evo concept from back in 2007, it's a shame that the economy tanked and the ACO decided to abandon those plans.

Design wise, im pretty sure they just recycled the LMP-Evo vette, The wind tunnel model is pretty close.

Id still prefer Chevy put the effort towards the WEC and show they can compete on an International level instead of just throwing a body kit (albeit a good looking one) on a Riley chassis.

The original Mustang GTP car.

Though as a car guy I kinda don't want Ford to use the Mustang to compete with the Vette. I look at it as Mustang, Camaro & Challenger in one group and then Vette, Viper (when it restarts production shortly) & well currently nothing from Ford in another group.

Honestly I'm surprised that other then early on before the Mustang really became clearly defined as a Camaro competitor that Ford hasn't even tried to create a car to go head to head with the Vette & Viper. I mean yeah they had the Ford GT for a few years as well as Jag & Aston Martin, but Ford has never really even attempted a full time run at a "Vette Killer" model.

I haven't heard anything other then the Vette. I just read through a Ford press release about Michael Shank Racing coming back for next year that came out a few days ago and they don't say anything other then he will be running a Ford powered Daytona Prototype.
