So some time ago, I made this.

I've since added to it quite profusely, as you can see here:

It now uses 68 different number fonts and different colors for the number and outline. All numbersets that I got from people in the NR2003 community have author names next to them if the author is known (if they're my own, I didn't put my own name there). If there's a missing credit, let me know.

For the most part, all fonts have their original names to avoid confusion.

Just don't hotlink directly to the generated images, otherwise it will cause pages to load very slowly... and it will burn bandwidth.

Coming soon will be a number font preview popup window that will display all the fonts in order ... because you may not be aware of what is actually available if you don't know the font names.

Again, you'll have to check it periodically to see if any new features are added, because I don't always remember to post in forums that things have been updated.... even if they're up and running.

If anyone wants to steal the source code for their own purposes (really I can't think of any unless you want to learn some text-to-image PHP), go ahead, just be warned that the code is not exactly legible.

Now that I think about it, this thread might be better suited to the Misc Programs section, but I'll leave that up to the mods.

Now that finals are over, I did put a bit of extra time into this.

10 new fonts have been added -- including Batavia, Clarendon, and Compacta. The font preview popup window displays all new fonts in red as opposed to yellow.

Added more fonts and the ability to turn the number border invisible. Next up for fonts... might add the Dale Jr. numberset.

Just a reminder that I've since added the aforementioned Dale Jr. numberset (modified off the one I made before Adrenaline Grafx made their own), Atrox (the #44 number I used to use all the time), the number font that the Dash Cup series uses on all its cars, Timmay87's infamous Evernham numbers (with and without tails on the numbers), the number set seen on the Team Timothy TM Master Cup series car, Bolted Bold (Venturini ARCA numbers), and a font called Sofachrome that looks suspiciously like the Dale Coyne Racing numbers.

Also, I added more control over the border on the numbers, and the color of the numbers themselves, including the option to remove the number border altogether. If you look at the URL, you'll probably notice where the RGB (and RGBA for the border) values come in to play so that you can have even finer control over the color of the numbers...

As a joke, I started making the Dale Coyne Racing 2nd Driver Generator, really for no other purpose other than to amuse myself and one of my coworkers.

Hey. I've tried doing the custom number plate thing, but it keeps giving me broken images when I do it. Any ideas as to what's causing this?
