I am shocked and stunned that anyone would think that Hendrick Motorsports would ever cheat! They are a fine organization that have always played by the rules.

P.S. I have a pile of snow for sale.

The issue here is whether NASCAR fixed qualifying, not HMS. Besides, isn't all this a moot point since he crashed in practice and has to go to a backup car?

Something that really pisses me off about the media in relation to him is that he had a few off years and all we hear is "he is certainly not his daddys boy" and crap like that I mean jsut badgering him but when he has good runs its either luck or its fixed or somone cheated..cant he just have a god run?

none of us need to get stressed out about this story b/c there's two things that stop this story dead in its tracks: 1. junior qualified 2nd for last yr's 500 so qualifying 1 spot better this yr is surprising? i don't think so and 2. if jr's run was fixed then why would "nascar" have let him practice and possibly wreck, which he did, the pole-sitting car. it's all a bunch of headline-pushing media ppl trying to latch onto a story that has no legs whatsoever.

Listen to their college football broadcasts. And watch on College Football Live when they rank OSU way lower than what they are and what they should be. I can't stand ESPN.

If NASCAR fixed anything, it was Jimmie's run, considering the other Hendrick guys were 1st, 2nd, and 8th, and Jimmie was 16th.

Well since most of us think that it wasn't fixed.... I'll say something for the ones that think it was a possibility. Look at the duel race yesterday... Jr wanted to win it.... but never got to the front. That to me proves that his primary car was just a good freakin race car.... and his backup needs work.

Ok..my 2 cents worth...

Was reading DW's book yesterday...he talked back in the 70's he and Allison and all were winning all the races at a track, and the promoter wanted someone like Ned Jarrett to win. Well, they all stayed behind Jarrett, but Jarrett blew and engine in the last few laps and it was DW and Donnie I believe 1-2...the only time he ever tried to fix a race.

Here's the thing...For anything to happen you have to have people "in on it", the more people, the more mouths that can say what happened..happens in crime, happens on the track. So, someone is going to tell me that a technical inspector just happened to slip a wrong plate on, or someone scoring figged the times is like saying that there was a grassy knoll or the world is being controlled by a secret group...total BS.

Kornheiser (AD had a better name for him) is on PTI on TSN up here....and he knows his job...to stir the pot. He doesn't know what he is talking about half the time (ie racing and hockey) but knows his job is dependent on saying stupid stuff.

Let Jr. have his day...get off his back...gosh knows he don't have enough days in the sun.
