Nah, I'm not sure how well he was gonna do at Hendrick. IF 2008 was any example. He should've been battling with Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson for the chanpionship at the end of 07, maybe

But lets get back on topic.
Defnitely, Eury needs to leave. I think anybody could do better than him right now.

I am a Jr fan, and I do not agree with the choice of crew chief that he has. Tony Sr was the best crew chief for Jr and his last season with Jr proved it. Dale Jr started down hill when he lost Tony Sr! Tony Jr was a good CAR chief, but in my opinion not the crew chief he was made out to be. Dale Jr and Tony Jr can not communicate without raising hell with each other. Dale Jr has never and would never raise hell with Tony Sr. Dale needs someone with backbone and the intestional fortitude to TELL him what he needs to do. I believe that Tony Sr is that person! When Dale Jr announced that he was going to Hendrick and taking Tony Jr with him I knew he would never be any better than he is now. Hopefully Hendrick makes a good choice and gets Dale a crew chief that will put him back in the winner's circle. The man can drive if he couldn't he would not be where he is today. He does have 2 championships and 18 wins, some in Nascar don't have that and are still driving. Nuff said!

Tony Jr. is a complete disappointment as a crew chief. Dale Jr. is a complete disappointment as a driver. Is it a matter of lack of chemistry? I don't know. But Rick Hendrick has enough money invested in Jr. that he needs to make changes on that team no matter how much Jr. might whine and complain about loosing Tony Jr. Hendrick, as the man putting up the money has every right to make whatever changes he as the owner sees fit to make to try to make a team perform better. I think he may be starting to question the decision to sign Jr in the first place.

And Tony Jr. can't make his mind up.

I just wanna remind everyone about a couple quick things.
First off, for everyone talking about Pops Eury, yes they had great success together, however, he doesnt want the job. he has already expressed that at this point in his career he doesnt want that job and hes perfectly content with running the nationwide program. not to mention, he hasnt even really worked w/ the COT anyways but it doesnt matter cuz he doesnt want that job, period.

Also if anyone remembers 2005, they swapped out Tony Jr for Pete Rondeau and it was a disaster. Jr had his worst season ever. Then with 9 or 10 races left in the season, they brought Tony Jr. back and they win a race and start crankin off the top 5's and 10's.
Becareful what you wish for. last year this team may have only won 1 race but they were the most consistent team week in and week out.

Haha. Yah; I actually think they make a good team with Martin being Gustafson's childhood hero and everything. Honestly; I like all the match ups at Hendrick; even Latarte and Gordan... everyone's personalities match each other well IMO.

I'd take a 50 year old Mark Martin over a 20 something Kyle Busch any day. Being a "winner" doesn't just mean crossing the finish line first IMO.

And I think Junior will get back on track soon enough; Jeff Gordon was pretty bad last year and now he's the point leader again.
