Hey all--
Have had the game for about 5-6 years, but have only been actively playing for the last year. At Daytona, I try to use the default Jasper setup, but the right front tire always fails after about 20 laps. The other tires seem to hold up well. I've tried to adjust the springs and tire pressure, but the same thing seems to result each time. (This has happened at other tracks at well). What can I do to ensure my right front lasts longer?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Do you like to drive loose or tight? Because i prefere loose myself...And try using the fast setup its not as hard on tires...If you find that your car gets tight then higher the track bar or try moving more wieght to the back

I prefer a loose setup. Easier to correct, IMO, then a car that pushes up the track.

I did a 10 lap practice run with the 'fast' setup. Reached 245 max. on the middle of the tire. I did notice my lap times seemed to be off about .2-.3 seconds. I'll use this as a base... Thanks again--plan to participate more in the future.

Well .2 - .3 seconds isnt really gonna matter in the draft...Try adding 5% more tape unless that makes your car over heat...And try messing with the gearing some

Sometimes the Jasper setups are a little to agressive for racing I think.

I much prefer fine tuning the 'fast or expert' setups over many years!!

Just another question - what Daytona do you run?
If you're blowing the fronts in 20 laps on the original one... do not use that setup!!!

Yeah when you're in the draft, the setup is pretty much unnoticable, you can have a car that's two seconds slower (by itself) than the fastest car (by itself) and still get to the same max speed in a draft train. Passing shouldn't be a big difference if it's .2, but if it's around .8 [clean-air-difference] you'll start to have trouble getting around drivers.

you could also lower the steering ratio (i changed it to 28:1)

Just the track that came with the game.

do you have driving aids on ??
Automatic shifting and anti-lock brakes.

I do appreciate the help--made it much further through the game--race was ruined by a lap car, but that's for another day.
