Is there any way you can get an alternate paint scheme for a driver to work in a race? It's boring looking at the same old Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart, and everyone else's cars whenever I do a race.

You are able to do this in NASCAR Thunder 2004.

Theres only a few for the normal 2003 carset (Michael Waltrip, Jeff Green, Ryan Newman). But, you can download cars from Mas Grafx, SRD,etc. And make sure you add them to your series in the opponent manager after you download them. And welcome to SRD :)

After downloading the cars, you must add them to a roster in Opponent Manager. That way there is an equal chance for each car to appear in a race.

I'll go out on a limb here and think that maybe what you want is to different schemes for a single driver during one 'career' season? If that's the case you can d/l cars (as others have suggested) and, as long as you have the game 'patched", you could export the other versions of the single driver's schemes (they're saved, by default, in the *.*/Papyrus/NASCAR Racing 2003 Season/exports_imports folder). Then when you wanted to change schemes you could just go into your 'Opponent Manager', select whichever driver you want to change and swap via the 'Import' button. As long as you leave any scheme you might want to swap in the exports_imports folder you can do this endlessly. And this way the driver doesn't loose any 'points' by being switched in the middle of a season.

Does that make sense ?
