Okay, well. Although I am working on 3 car sets at the moment (yes. 3
) and working 40+ hours a week, I still want to have my own offline season with paint schemes/performance/sponsorships and points. So, I will post in here all the action and updates from my current 2014 season. The schedule is fictional, but is taking some of my favorite tracks. I have laid out a schedule and what schemes are running that race as well. Currently, I have 22 races of 34 filled. I'm currently in progress of signing a new 6 race sponsor! As of right now, I have 2 "primary" sponsors and 3 full time associates. Dairy Queen/Orange Julius have hopped on to sponsor a total of 13 races this season. NBT Bank has signed on to 6. All of which are on the east coast. Expedia is a full time associate and has signed to be a primary for 2 races. Aspen Dental has signed on for Bristol mid-season, and Moxie, the popular New England soft drink has signed on to be the primary in 2 races this year, both being at New Hampshire. STP is a full time associate sponsor, as well as State Farm.
The schedule currently stands as this:
Daytona- DQ
Atlanta-
Watkins Glen- NBT
Texas-
Bristol- DQ
Talladega-
Dover- NBT
Pocono- NBT
Darlington- DQ
Martinsville-
Mesa Marin-

Here are the current schemes for the 2014 season! DMP Racing is using #75 and running Chevrolets. We are receiving our engines from ECR.
Thanks for looking, I hope you follow along, enjoy reading, and enjoy the paint schemes our design team comes up with! We hope to have a great year!
RACE #1 : Daytona International Speedway
Well, we made it to Daytona! After a long off-season of frantically putting this team together. We feel we have a solid program to run the 2014 season with a full head of steam! With help from ECR, and Richard Childress Racing, we feel we have a strong presence already, even in our rookie year. Our driver, Dale Pettry, is a native of Northeast Pennsylvania, and has loved Nascar all his life. He has made his way up through the ranks, starting out with karting, and progressively moving up, attracting sponsors such as STP Oil, and Dairy Queen, who have stayed with him through this long process. He ran a few ARCA, Nascar K&N races, and a few Nationwide Series races over the past 2 years. With excellent results! Multiple sponsors have hopped on board for this season, giving us nearly 2/3 of a full schedule already. We couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity.
Sadly, Daytona proved as a challenge for the young rookie, who just barely raced his way into the Great American race on time. As he started outside the top 35, he was still optimistic about his chances, as Daytona has proved to be a place for rookies to prove they have what it takes.
As Sunday grew near, the pre-race nerves were setting in for Pettry. "Yeah, I know my guys have put together a great piece, and I have confidence in them. Right now I'm struggling with having confidence in myself. I've raced here only once before, in 2012, and I ended up plowing the wall 27 laps in." Unfortunately, as the green flag waved, Pettry had a strong vibration in his right front tire. He reported this to the team, but as the draft is so important at Daytona, they couldn't afford to hit pit road. Attempting to stick with the back of the pack, Pettry felt a grinding in the right front area, where the tire was. Coming out of turn #2, he lost the right front and slammed the outside safer barrier. He spun out, corrected it and ended up slapping the wall once more. As the caution comes out for his incapacitated race car, sitting on the backstretch. Pettry exited the car on his own power, but showed much frustration. As would any driver crashing out of his first Nascar Sprint Cup Series race. "I felt a vibration for the first few laps, and I knew something was gonna happen. I tried to ride it out until the competition caution came out on lap 20, but I guess the tire let go and I became that caution. Poor way to start the season, and I know these guys put together a great car. Sucks I couldn't bring it home for them. Still wanna thank Dairy Queen for coming on and sticking with me, it'll be a long journey, but we'll get better." Pettry finished 43rd in the Daytona 500. While Brian Scott slingshots around Matt Kenseth on the final lap with the help of a lap car to win the Daytona 500.
