(Dont know where to post this) general painting question

when im using a base for a mod that doesnt have the manufacturer logos (grill area/ lights) how do i get that on to the car? im using GIMP

I don't know anything about gimp, but are you able to copy layers. you would copy the layers into the template file.

What i do is i open the base scheme i want to modify and i do as i please with it, then i merge everything but the mask: Then i open the SRDNWS11 template i want to use and i copy the base and paste it on the base of the template.
Then i continue painting.

thank you guys! i downloaded the templates (Aerowar88 was a little hard to find) and got it going! i appreciate the help!
