Personally, I don't give it much gas in the corners. By that I mean I tap the breaks and then let it roll through the corner while downshifting, then when there is a good straight, I shift up and accelerate. That and I use the rumple strips to my advantage. I tend to think of them and more of a corner. But don't bounce, just get on them and let it slide on there. Like say you were at Indianapolis in an Indy Car. Well, there is a portion of the track there under the white line that I always use to get a better run in the corner so i can keep it down in the corner for longer without having to lift. My main thing here is, when making sharp turns, hit the breaks a good oh, 3 yards before making the turn. Then let the car roll through the corner. Don't forget to downshift as well!

This is what my routine at Infineon Revamped 2009 looked like: (using this as a reference)

-Floor it through turn 1 and get up to either 3rd or 4th gear, then quickly downshift to 1 as I coast after the start line
-Gently go through turn 2 in gear 1, then floor it to gear 2/3 until I reach turn 3, where I brake down to gear 1 again, get up to gear 2 as I approach turn 4 and downshift to make the sharp turn as I brake
-Go through the long stretch up to gear 2 then brake and shift to gear one for turn 7
-Nurse it through the esses in 1st gear, and as I go through turn 9 I get up to 3rd gear, and subsequently downshift to second as I make the 10th turn
-Get back up to 3rd and brake hard to get through the hairpin in 1st gear, rinse and repeat
