All of my F-Keys are set to these:

Code:
F1 - Windows Help & Support
F2 - Dim screen brightness
F3 - Brighten screen brightness
F4 - Computer projector (I don't even have a projector)
F5 - DVD Previous Chapter
F6 - DVD Play/Pause
F7 - DVD Stop
F8 - DVD Next Chapter
F9 - Lower computer volume
F10 - Increase computer volume
F11 - Mute computer volume
F12 - Turn on/off internet connection

Is there any way to turn all of these off so I can use the menus for NR2003? I have a Compaq Presario CQ56 home laptop that is a Windows 7.

I can't remember (maybe someone else knows) but in the control panel there should be an option somewhere to change the default for F-Keys, where to use the features you listed you'd have to hit the "Fn" button. Since your F-Keys are set to those listed there should be a "Fn" button either near the function keys or near the bottom part of the keyboard (if on a laptop).

Were you able to turn your's off? I find it annoying to have the already set f-keys because if you meant to press 'esc' to show the menu/pause the game and you press 'F1' by accident, it crashes to the desktop showing the 'Windows Help & Support', and when I try to turn NR2003 back on where it crashed, it only shows a black screen but I can hear NR2003's sounds through my headphones.

Same thing happens to me at times, I'd like to know if its possible too.

Boot up your BIOS and look for a line involving "FN" or "Action Keys". It should be under "System Configuration".

I have a Compaq and my f- keys are the same things as yours. Try pressing, while in-game, Shift and then at the same time F1, that's what I have to do.

Edit: Never mind, the original poster hasn't responded yet.
