I looked in the search function before I started this and was amazed no one has done this one yet. What are your favorite and least favorite tracks in auto racing (not just NASCAR, but ARCA, F-1, etc)? Mine are:

Favorite:

Auto Club
Michigan
Indianapolis
Kansas (Home track)
and I run well in NR2003: Richmond and New Hampshire

Least favorite:
Any road course
Homestead
Phoenix
Daytona K&N setup
Bowman Gray

Moderators: I didn't know where to put this really since it encompasses not only NASCAR, but Auto Racing and NR2003. Please feel free to move it to where you think is best.

Favorite:
Any bullring, dirt or asphalt.
I prefer plate tracks in NR2003 because of my super-aggressive driving style. (I like bump drafting.)

Least Favorite:
I'm probably going to get ran outta town, but I hate mile and a halfs, with a passion.
They just don't do it for me. Unless the finish is going to be good, or they wad a lot of them up, I just cant stand 'em. But thats me, I'm only human.
In NR2003, it would have to be the Road courses. I just can't drive them well at all. I broke 2 racing wheels so far, just from the shear effort I put into making it around in one piece. I can't drive them. At all.

No, I think a lot of people would agree with you actually. They're incredibly boring and produce very little side-by-side action, if any. Just a lot of follow the leader.

I hear ya. Minus a few (like the glen and sonoma) I tend to struggle with road courses in NR2003. I usually find myself having to do major ini tweaks with the AI and lowering their strength a bit to even be able to keep up. Seems they can accel and decel in and out of corners better than I could dream of.

With that said I put a lot of road courses in my fictional seasons because I know I need some adversity and I hope to improve the more I do them ... even if road racing in NR2003 isn't that great. I was once in an online league and people were much better than I at them.

I love road courses. Driving them, watching them... I love them. Yet, somehow, I find most racing series that run a lot of road courses boring. I also really like plate tracks. My absolute least favorite track ever, of all time, is Fontana. Although, as of late, the racing there has gotten a lot better.
