Hey guys, I had this idea earlier today in Graphic Arts, just wondering if it looks good/realistic? Thanks for the feedback (y)

Is it a real company logo you copied, or a real/fake company logo you made? Either way it looks nice.

In that case, it looks very nice. I'd get rid of the Stroke around building supplies, but that's just nitpicky stuff.

I like it a lot, colors are good, you need to clean up the outline on the A's. What program are you using? When it comes to logos illustrator is the only way to go.

Paint Shop Pro X. Have been for years, I can't get used to anything else. but I have used Illustrator before. It's a great program, and I agree with you, that's how my dad makes his logos. He has AI at his work.

yeah I took a basic and advanced graphic design classes based on all adobe software last year for a few semesters. I learened how much I really didnt know up till that point.

Huh, I plan on taking graphic arts classes and stuff like that in College, so we'll see what happens. Tweaked it a little and cleaned up some.

That's much better. It still looks a little pixelated but i'm not sure how much you can change that for the .jpg

It looks good, but I"ll let you in on a secret I use when I design logos: design it in only black first (on a white background). This way, the strongest elements of your design should come apparent and the logo won't have to rely on color to pack its punch. Additionally, if you need to use the logo for a one-color process (or even a fax machiene... *shutters*) you've got it.

Not bad for one of your first logos. A couple things should be noted though:

I can tell where your type ends and your shape begins...the stroke isn't even throughout the logo. Doing this in Illustrator and building the shape from the letter would eliminate this.

I don't really know if the outline is even necessary...when working with light to midrange hues with a dark background, a white outline generally isn't needed.

I think I'm gonna remake it using the suggestions, trying to not use a stroke, starting with a white background and all black font, and I might make the shape first.

If you need ideas your free to play around with my logo. I am constantly handing out business cards so I am always having new designs printed. This is whats printed on the back of my cards at the moment. If you take the time and I like it I will have some cards made up.

I'm really like where you've taken this. One question...why the 'period' at the end of 'Supplies'? I mean, it's a company, not a sentence, right?
