Format Set for Inaugural Modified All-Star Race

NASCAR has announced the format for the Inaugural Whelen Modified All-Star Shootout at NHMS:

A quick look at The Whelen Modified All-Star Shootout:

• Total of 20 drivers from NASCAR's Whelen Modified National Tour and Whelen Modified Southern Tour
• The special event will be a 40-lap race split into two 20-lap segments
• The starting lineup for the first segment will be determined by random draw; before the second segment begins, a minimum of four and maximum of 10 positions in the running order will be inverted.
• After the first segment, a competition caution period will be used to reset the field, and laps completed during the competition caution will not count toward the race total. Planned pit stops will not be allowed during the race, and there is a time limit for completion if needed.
• There will be a 30-minute time limit
• $28,000 prize pool
• $4,000 for first-place
• $800 to start the race
• Non-points race

Personally I can't wait to see this. NHMS normally has very awesome and intense races...
