I have a problem with Fraps and it just began last month. I have captured successfully with it before.

I run my replay at all graphics on high and get about 80 FPS. When I select capture for Fraps, it drops all the way down to 9 or 10 FPS and captures it like that. Once I stop capturing, it goes back up to where it was before it was captured.

I haven't installed any special software that could cause it and I have more than enough memory for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a neat tip, play your replay in 1/2 speed and record with fraps. Then take the video and speed it up 100%.

Recording gameplay is very taxing on a computer and can result in FPS spikes and slowdowns. The only way to fix this is to run all the graphics on low, or do what I said above. The first method allows you to capture at full quality, and retain max FPS.
