Since I've started playing, I always notice that my right front tire is always squealing. When I press F5 and look at tire wear, the tire that is the most worn out is my right front tire. I use the keyboard for playing simply because I don't have a steering wheel. So, how can i keep my right front tire from wearing out too quickly and costing me precious race positions? Also, while I'm here, how do I make my pit crew change 2 tires instead of all?

To change 2 tires instead of 4 hit F5 to bring up the tire change menu then hit the spacebar to select right sides or left sides. They'll check and uncheck as you hit the spacebar.
I think you need to hit it twice for right sides only.

As far as always squealing your front tire it could be oversteer from the keyboard or you could be over driving the corners.

It could also depend on how the car is set up. In addition to that, it could be how you're driving the car. Some people have the tendency to drive like its an arcade game - smash the gas and go. You want to be able to drive the car without pushing it to the point where you're squealing the tires through the turns. If you cant keep up without doing that, then you need to either keep practicing, improve your setup, lower the AI, or a combination of any of those things.

I'll opine in this thread since I've been using the keyboard to race since the days of Nascar Racing 2.

Unfortunately wearing out the RF is part of the nature of using the keyboard. It's extremely difficult to not put 100% steering input in a turn, whereas wheel racers can use the wheel to change the amount of input from 0-100%. It's not like you can half-press a keyboard key. So, it's the nature of the beast, I'm afraid.

That said, try the 'fast' or 'expert' setups whereever you can. Those setups tend to be more free, and combined with a more experienced driving style via the keyboard, can allow you to race quasi-normally, though you'll still have to pit for tires far earlier than you see in real races on TV.

Maybe when you are on the brakes coming in to the corners, since you either brake 100% or none with a keyboard, you lock up the front right as you pitch your car in. I don't know if there would be a fix for this, maybe back up your brake bias.

i agree with most of that, except the steering assist. i run 7% simply because you have much more control over where the car goes, with >50% the car goes where it wants to go and you're just along for the ride. the big thing for using a keyboard is to TAP the buttons. think of it like youre typing something. you don't hold down the button to type, you quickly press each key. Also try to not use stability control ever. without it you go much faster and it helps tire wear significantly
