BTW I use an XBox 360 controller.. i think i said that but i'm not sure lol.

yea you need the windows drivers. Windows should detect the controller too and the lights should automatically come on. If you are using Vista or windows 7 it will automatically detect it. If you are using XP, then you have to download the drivers, i think a link to those are on the second page. Don't try to turn the controller on, because it will probably boot the XBox up. Windows should turn the controller on if you have the drivers.

for a wired controller it should just come on, for a wireless controller you also need the wireless receiver that is USB.

Just to add to johnsonfan96's situation, the play and charge kit for the 360 controller will not work as a connection. I was pulling my hair out trying to get this to work. I never thought about it before, but Microsoft says the controller still works off of the wireless signal while connected to the play and charge. I just assumed it basically made it a wired controller. Just FYI for those as bright as me.

gas, brake and steering are calibrated under the normal options menu in game
those are not set by pinnacle profiler. That clear up your confusion?

Just a quick question for Alan. I use the XPadder button mapping program for my wireless XBox 360 controller. Have you used XPadder before and if so, which is better between it and the one you posted?

Well I tried XPadder 3 years ago when it was a free program. I havent used it since it became a service that is paid for. I cant honestly tell you if its better or not. I used the pinnacle program when I was setting this up over XPadder because it seemed easier to me for mapping and control setups.
