A project I started on, that ended up turning into something much more. Pretty much, it's a "what if a drivers old sponsor, still sponsored them today?" carset. So I pick a paint scheme the driver ran in the past, and slapped it on a Gen6, just updated it with the drivers current number, team, associate sponsors, etc.

The set will be released when I feel it's ready, but I only have 6 more cars to go to complete it. After that, I'll be moving onto other drivers, part timers who haven't ran much like Waltrip, Sadler and Hornish, drivers who split their ride with others, like Smith, Dillon, and Vickers, road course ringers like Said, Fellows, and Papis, and drivers who's filled in/ran multiple numbers. So there will be a Martin 11/55, Vickers 11/55, Waltrip 26/55, Cassill 33/40, Yeley 36/37, etc. So pretty much, if he raced this year, he'll be in the set. That will be released as an add on pack.

Anyways, here's the first 5 complete teams I'm showing. I'll add more tomorrow, as I wrap up a couple of teams. Can you correctly guess the years the drivers ran the schemes posted? ;)

UPDATE #2: RCR, JGR, FRM, Phoenix, Xxxtreme
UPDATE #3: HMS, BKR, RPM, JTG, NEMCO

UPDATE #5: RFR, EGR

Dude that is awesome. I gotta say the 39 is my favorite. I think it's pretty funny that Danica still has GoDaddy ;) She could've had Hot Wheels or Tissot.

I tried going with something different, nothing looked that good though so I went with that.

Logano's was 2011
Truex's was 2004 only, so half right
Blaney's was 2000
Yeley's was 2008 only

Not bad at all. Got some more challenging schemes to guess coming up tomorrow.

I completely forgot Blaney ran that sponsor outside of Busch...

Unless I'm just wrong as a whole. XD

I say Jimmie is going with Excedrin. When was Jimmie sposnored by Great Clips?

Nice job on the cars, Dan.

He was in the #5 Great Clips in the Nationwide Series at Phoenix this year.

But yea, probably Excerdin. I couldn't remember the name of his really old sponsor.

Anyway, I forgot to say this earlier, but those cars are phenomenal. I fondly remember a lot of those schemes, and the likeness is great. Good job!

I have to agree, those are some sweet looking cars. The #39 Alltel Chevy is also my favorite of all of them.
