We did lose the most recent files from this week; Ending with the 2000-2003 NWS contigs.
Mine are fixed.

I'm not sure that really achieved to be honest.

All I can say is my host is awesome. They went above and beyond to fix the site and get it online.

SRD was hacked, and it's a work in progress to find out how to fix the security hole or holes. This morning my server went through some security upgrades, so that's why the site was offline most of the morning.

I don't think we are out of the woods yet. When I get back home for Christmas vacation I'll be able to get down and dirty with the site and look at possible options for SRD.

A little message to the haters who celebrated the site being down and running those yappers again.....

I hope you find out who did it. I'm not really a vindictive person but one thing I hate are online hackers, cheaters, and other sorts who exploit online to ruin other people's enjoyment for the sake of power-tripping or making many people mad. I would be surprised if it was just some random person. Might have been someone who just hates NR2003 community or SRD in general. Either way glad nothing terrible was lost. Been going to this place for years. Would have felt so weird with it being completely erased.

Come to think of it I wouldn't even know where to find most of you fine people if this place went under. That would kinda suck cuz this community has been so great with all those who have stuck around all these years providing great NR2003 and Nascar stuff.

Odds are it was just some random asshole in Somalia or whatever doing it to plant malware. Then again, I don't have access to anything that would give that kind of an indication. I SERIOUSLY doubt it was anyone involved in sim racing.

Use NoScript in Firefox. That sometimes gives you an indication when a rouge site's scripts have been added to a trusted site. That's how I avoided an infection over at RuRa when they were hacked once in the past.

I don't know about that. Why a sim racing site? That's not nearly as random as you would think. To me, it seems like they were targeted.
