So I've figured out that constant viewing of my computer screens is giving me massive headaches, dizziness, and nausea. So I grabbed my reading glasses (+1.25 magnification)... it takes some of the strain off, but the magnification is driving me bonkers (not to mention they are a little small on me)

So does anyone have any suggestion on non-prescription, non-magnified, no-tinting computer glasses? I see tons of them, but I'm afraid of getting ripped off.

As someone who has a job that deals with being at a computer 40+ hours a week then going home and doing more work ... I mean NR2003 modding (lol), you can really strain your eyes if not careful. It's not healthy to give your pc screen the death stare for 10+ hours a day. There are ways to prevent this even if you are stuck staring at a screen that long.

While glasses might be a temporary solution the best way to prevent strain is take breaks often. Focus on other things around the area of your room or work space to allow your eyes to relax and focus at different distances. Resting for just 5-10 mins closing your eyes can make a big difference too. Usually at work half of my lunch break consists of closing my eyes listening to music.

Constantly chugging water like your an addict helps too. Staying hydrated with a full glass of water or grape juice keeps headaches away for me. Sometimes taking a break may not feel necessary but if you are in for a long day it really helps and prevents you from having major downtime because your eyes can't handle it anymore. Always take care of yourself and don't overdo it, being at a computer can be addicting and sometimes you ignore your body and the strains that can happen with it.

Guess last thing I can say is getting good healthy sleep can also help your eyes last throughout the day. A lot of people seem to ignore getting a good night's sleep. I am one of those people that needs at least 7-8 hours or I just get very worn down by the day's end. I have a very fast paced task crazed job with tons of critical thinking and then I go home and do more critical thinking with my hobbies. My brain is always in overdrive all day long, if I don't get good sleep my eyes won't make it either.

Hope some of this might prove useful for you :)

I ordered a pair of plain-o glasses with the anti-glare/Blue light reduction that won't affect colors (which is important, as my side job requires me to see true colors). Oddly enough, I've started sucking down grape juice and water more frequently as of late, out of impulse more than anything else. I get plenty of breaks (my kids require my attention practically every 10-15 minutes lol)

So I think the glasses will be the key here. Thanks for the advice! :)
