I have seen many posts from people who are...concerned about being nickled and dimed to death on the internet these days. Once I started using rFactor, I wanted a download manager for add-ons. Of the download managers suggested one, Crawler, infected my computer with Yahoo toolbars and other advertising crap (pardon me) and prevented me from downloading anything effectively and would not be deleted either. The other, internet download manager I think, was great but expired and wanted more money than I was willing to pay for it. I have no problem donating to a site like rFactor central or Avsim online because I try a lot of add-ons to find what I like but I have limits. I would just like to let you all know that you can choose from numerous freeware non-ad infested download managers at majorgeeks.com. I'am using "Free Download manager" and its just fine.
If you don't want to pay hundreds for photoshop but would like to paint some cars and what not, I found paint.NET and The Gimp at the same site. There are many others as well. These programs are stable, open source programs with many of the same capabilities as Photoshop. You can use add-ons with them to allow you to use photoshop files and .dds files and most anything else you want...for free with no ads.

I always thought Windows Explorer was the first, best way to organize everything on your computer. I've personally never felt the need for any download manager software.
