Graphics Configuration

Just got my new laptop which has a 1gb nvidia graphics card. How should the 3d configuration be set up?

Renderer: Options are Directx d 3d, opengl
Display Adapter: Only option is Intel HD Graphics 3000 (shouldn't my graphics card show up here???)
Graphics Mode: 800x600x32

Graphics using the BRGen6Mod and Track downloads are really blurry on the cars. I'm completely new to this game so any help is appreciated.

Try the sticky topics in red they are some useful info there. Try those then maybe if it isn't work someone can help you.

I think you need to turn off the onboard graphics to enable your graphics card. Use Direct X 9.0c, then check out the stickies in red for further info.

He is working with a laptop, so I would think the "card" he is referring to, is the onboard graphics chipset.

Then why is he saying he has nVidia graphics, but his onboard graphics chipset is Intel? Maybe he has an external card?

Since he did not indicate what brand and model of laptop he has, I can only speculate that he has a Dell Inspiron 15 N5110, 32 bit laptop. I based this on his description of the graphics adapters. This particular machine has 2.

Chances are, like in the article above, he needs to install the proper drivers, or he has gotten one that has a problem. Apparently, based on the results of my searches, many of the NVidia cards are crap!

it's an hp dv6 laptop with nvidia 1gb video card....i had to do some researching but i figured it all out....the laptop and game was wanting to use the intel graphics instead of the card. got everything fixed up though....thanks for the reference to the stickies, they helped

the graphics tweaker is awesome too!
