i used the nr graphics tweaker and think i did something wrong. i have 64mb of video ram, and when i used the NGT, it will cause nr2k3 to crash after the papyrus loading screen. so i used original core and rend_dxg to restore them (leaving player.ini alone) and the game loaded fine but the car still looks like this:



what should i do?

......................wow thats really messed up

Here's another thing to add for everyone running more than one core processor. Add "+fullproc" after the line in the shortcut...I.E.



...and doing this will tell NR2003 that you want it to utilize more than one processor. I'm not sure it will utilize more than two if you're like me and have a quad core, because I can run NBA 2K9 MAXED (card settings maxed), rFactor and ARCA full (not going to bring up crysis because that's just wrong)...

but I still can't get more than 80 FPS on NR2003 running the SS.net mod.

This tip gave me a few frames.

ok i need some help. when ever a car is 5 or so car lenghts ahead of me they begin to look like this out of focus and fuzzy. nothing to major just enough to annoy the pee out of me:


but when im less then 3 or so car lenghts the cars look normal. no fuzzy or out of foucs look.

is there anyway to fix that?
thats my graphic card settings. and before say anything about vsync it accutly steadys the frame rate to 30 or so....so how would i go about fixing this?
(also the texture quaitly is set to 100 if anyone is wondering)

That annoys you? Imagine then the fps drop you would have by having 43 cars running full res all the time...
Your graphics are fine! :) You can, however, fix the blurriness on top of the cars with some Anisotropic Filtering. I did that through the control center of my graphics card and my distant texture look more crisper. Maybe that can also help you with your problem; or maybe not.

um my graphaic card control panal seems to be broken and won't let me open it..>_> stupid windows...

but I DID just find a tool to oc my card i'll try the AA settings on the program and get back to you.


edit 2 yeah neer mind it killed my FPS XD

i;ll learn to deal with it.

Hey man,

How on earth did you get NR Graphics Tweaker to work on Windows 7? it fails during install for me, doesnt want to register one of the .dll files, or did you click 'ignore' on that message?

Please let me know :)

i sotra fixed it...XD

i just set AnisotropicLevel=0
to 8 and it fixed it...i didn't know why i didn't try that sooner...XD

I know this may seem dumb, but how do you find mb of video RAM and BBP. I can only find basic info about my pc. Any tips? :confused:

TextureSetSize= "number"

The "number" is what you want to replace. There is a formula for this...

( MB of video RAM) x (1048576) - ( 4 x Screen Width) x ( Screen Height) x (BPP) Bits Per Pixel, use (2) for 16bit or (4) for 32bit color.

change your TextureSetSize to a nagitive number this will give you much better quality + a few fps.

exsample: TextureSetSize=255852544 change to TextureSetSize=-255852544

Ok, so i just bought NR2003 at the beginning of the year and i got the 2010 bullring mod and some new tracks you know the deal...I get into a race and it lags SO BAD...I've been tweaking with the graphics since January and still can't get a decent race in without lowering all the graphics qualities to the lowest possible and playing on lowest res. Trust me it looks like
CRAP!...I heard some people talking about running on 512 MB Memories drives and such, so it is odd to me that mine is so choppy and laggy. I run on a laptop with 3GB memory and 1366X768 res. so i thought that was fairly good graphics. I don't know if i need some sort of graphics tweak or if you would suggest getting a desktop computer to run on. Thanks.
