Been viewing this forum for quite a while now, great source of information sometimes. Anyway, I'm not a huge forum poster but I'd like to just say whats up. I usually only like to give my 2 cents when it actually counts, I'm not the best at banter.

I'm an avid sim racer, my first sim was Nascar Heat way back in the day. I"ve tried a lot of the new sims out for the consoles and just simply do not like the physics. I have sworn by NR2003 since the day it came out. However I have been looking into getting into iRacing but have not made any big decision yet.

I"m from Knoxville, I am 20, and I am a cook at Ruby Tuesdays. Never really have had chance to actually race in real life, although I've always wanted to. Its too expensive so I'll settle for the next best thing. I have known some racers growing up though, my best friend all through high school had a cousin who had started racing go-karts at the age of 5 and apparently was really good, kind of regret not taking him more seriously when he would talk to us about racing. His name was Trevor. I'll leave it at that. :google_it_noob:

But anyhow, just thought I'd say hello. Like I said, I've been following your all's discussions and using this site for info for a long long time now. Figured I"d get a little more involved.

T.C.

Yes, the Trevor Bayne. I was never close to him or anything like that, just so happened that my closest friend growing up just happened to be Trevor's cousin. Several times I remember going to Norris Lake with the Wilsons and Trevor would tag along. They had a house boat up there for the longest time, and it was ridiculously nice. Both sides of his family, the Wilsons and the Baynes, are both extremely loaded.

Last time I saw Trevor was the week after he won the 500. Knoxville did a homecoming ceremony and gave him his own street sign and declared whatever day that was, 'Trevor Bayne day'. Apparently that win was a huge deal to a lot of people around here. Or maybe thats just what comes with a win of that magnitude. I still see him as Trevor. Although its really difficult to sit at the same dinner table as a Daytona 500 winner and his whole family and not get a little giddy.

Great to have another Knoxvillian on board, I'm in the 4th & Gill area.

This one of the better sim sites, you'll like it here. :)

4th and Gill, isn't that the historic downtown neighborhood? I'm smack dab in between Turkey Creek and Pellissippi Parkway. Way out west. Almost into Farragut.

I really do like this site, I've been reading these forums for some time now. Lots of good discussions and lots of good info.

"Historic", what a nice way of saying old and crumbling! XD I'm convinced I've woke up in that old Tom Hanks movie, "The Money Pit".

I'm out west quite a bit, I work right off of Hardin Valley Rd. and my sis lives just off of Campbell Station Rd.

Atleast you aren't in the middle of 'historic' Old Mechanicsville.

I love Knoxville, its a great place to be. I do get tired of the color orange sometimes though. (y)
