'Bout time we get a new Iowa Speedway. I also noticed that you added some logos to the infield. Will you also be updating the billboards. And thanks for emailing me your Infineon Raceway a couple weeks ago.
No problems with the Infineon hope it works ok for you.
Im not really a painter ,more a putter together but ill do what i can.
As you can see by the Rockingham read me (build it and they will come).
1 or 2 people chipped in to make that track what it is.
Ok
Time for a call for help.Any painters out there with the inclination to help
I need the POWERED BY:
IOWA CORN ETHANOL thats sits on the front stretch on the S/F line.
Also any pictures of billboards and grass markings or even mips of billboards and grass markings would be better.
Progress so far is coming along nicely.
Pit road is fully functional,
Added new caution lights and pit control lights.
Added corner cone markers
Added some wall signage and grass logos (all fictional for the time being)
Once the day version is finished i will start on the night.
It shouldnt take to long because i can use the night mips and lights etc from the original night track. It will just be a case of adding shadows and i tend to take the brightness off a lot of the mips just to give it that night time feel.
Looks great! Not to pick and nag, but I'm going to point out a few things. I'm a season ticket holder there so I know the place quite well:
-I think the asphalt is a bit too dark.
-Pit road is mostly concrete - both the road and the boxes. Toward the end of the pit lane, the pit road is asphalt while the boxes remain concrete.
I'll share a couple pics and the YouTube vid I made last time they had a drive-the-track day for you to look at. I have a lot of pics, so hit me up if there's anything you need. If you give me your email, I'll put my pics from the last few years on a .zip and email it to you.
Thanks for the pics.
The asphalt stuff is being worked on now as i usally do all the placement and building first.
Ive just finished bulking out the 3d crowds as the original was very sparce on race day.
The asphalt and pit surface you see on my shots are the ones in the original track and as yet havnt been touched but i have the google earth shot of the track as i used it for building pit road.
Nice shot of pit wall markings and advertising tho that will help.
