I'm currently an active diecast collector who has run out of space. Rather then pare down my collector for custom pieces I would like to try my hand at some 3-D modeling. Is there anyone out there that can get me started?

Thanks in advance for your help!(y)

Blender, which is free. There is also ZModeler and 3DS Max. 3DS Max is the most popular, but to my knowledge it is also very expensive. You may want to try PMing some of out 3D Dev guys (tenor and hoosierdaddy) to get start and get an understand of the basics.

Good luck!
