Hi. I am on here because I want to make decals for custom cars. I downloaded GIMp and would like to know it better. I "stink" at Google, so was hoping you could help me all out. Look forward to beng a part of this community.

First ?, is how do I get the layer popup tool box back in GIMP? Thanks!

Welcome! To get the hang of GIMP, open up anything and treat it as a scratchpad to get the feel of the items in the toolbox.

To get the layer bar back, go to Windows -> Layers at the top of the GIMP menu.
