I am trying to insert one of my songs for the prerace intro sound. Instead of saying "drivers, to your cars," it would play a song. I made it a .wav file, named it reminder.wav, and when I opened the game, it crashed on opening. How do I convert it so I can use on the game? I use other reminder.wav's and they play music as well.

sample rate = 22,500

bit rate = 352

bit depth = 16 bit

mono

length = 00:0 3.964 (87,396 samples)

uncompressed

The lengths don't need to match up I've found that out with my sound-pack Creation.
Not so sure on the bit rate though.

How do I change the bit rate and depth?

When your saving your .wav there should be alist of options with Bit Depth- normally selected as 16bit per most audio software some may have 32 bit, however some may be 16, and leave it there, if its not usually click on it and either manually enter in 16 - or select it from a drop down menu.

However it usually reads

Bit Depth: 16 -or 32 before you save it (Hitting Save as -> Save) area.
Bit Rate dosen't seem to affect the game that much

Okay, are you able to give me a step by step procedure on how to do the entire converting process? I use Audacity. Is there another program I should use?
