Help with FPS

When im racing my NR2003, it runs at 30-50 fps, but every few seconds, the screen goes choppy for about a second or two, then back smooth. the fps up in the right hand corner never changes from what is usually runs, its more annoying than causing a problem, any ideas?

Do you have any big background proccesses that take up processor activity while you are running NR2003?

how do you get better FPS? im getting around 15-20, is that good or bad?

15-20 is very bad. You need a minimum of 20 at all times, and preferably at least 30. Follow that guide I posted the link to and you'll notice a staggering increase.

Like Mike24 said, it sounds like a background program taking up reources the the computer needs to push the game. You may want to download "end it all" and run it before you start the game.

You should be able to find it here Downloads as well as a bunch of other good utilities.
